Blah!

At least that's how I've been feeling! This weather has done major damage with my sinuses. And for some reason I only get nauseous when I have sinus infections. Strange I know! Anyways, I went back to the baby dr yesterday and everything is still fine! The heartbeat is still at a strong 160 and I haven't started gaining weight yet! (which is more than I can say for my first pregnancy) haha! Although tom. may do me in for that whole weight thing. I'm sure gonna enjoy lots of delicious food! We only have one dinner tom. and then one friday and one sunday!! Which means lots and lots of good food!!
We got my grandfather settled in to his new home. He is out of the other facility he was in for a couple weeks and we've moved him into an assisted living place. The staff and everyone there seem very nice and he gets to practically have everything from home right with him. Except his cat which is bothering him! But he is doing alot better now!! He is more oriented and is taking his meds like he's suppose to and is much friendlier. So keep the prayers going for this!!
I hope everyone has a wonderul Thanksgiving!!! We have a lot to be thankful for right now and I'm sure many of you do as well!!! Enjoy all the precious friends and family and great food!!

Prayers & Family

Things have been crazy around here lately with school, family issues, and the whole election. I do have to say that I did vote and chose the candidate that I thought fit the best with my personal views. I was a little disappointed to know that my choice didn't win but life goes on. Now all we can do is pray for our nation and our new president elect. We can't change what happened so we have to accept it and move on. That's all I'll say about the election because it seems to be a very hot issue with people.
As for school..it's slowly coming to an end at least for this semester! I had my mock interview for my online class yesterday as well as my 2nd history test. I have a speech due monday but i'm actually kind of excited about it. I'm doing a persuasive speech on organ donation so I think it'll be a positive experience. We only have one more speech after this and one more history test. My online class is almost finished up because we can work ahead. So it looks like there is light at the end of the tunnel!
The prayer part comes into play where my grandfather is concerned. He's been having major health issues that came on all at once. He had an episode in the hospital a couple months back where he said it felt like everything in his brain fired all at once. They thought it was a stroke at first but after tons of test they ruled out every possibility so we never found out exactly what it was. He's become very depressed and hateful. And that's not the kind of person he is. He's the youngest of 12 kids and his health seems to be the worst of the living ones. He got so depressed that he had to be placed in a facility in Ft.Payne that was able to watch him around the clock. It's a senior care unit and it seems to be a very clean place. It 's just hard to accept the fact that he's not at home and we can't just go over and everything be normal. He's been very confused about where he is and everything. We're praying for some kind of answers whether they be the appropriate medications or therapy or whatever. It's just really hard to see him going through this and not be able to help. Please say a prayer for our family and my grandfather! They would be greatly appreciated. I hope everyone has a great wknd!!

Halloween 08

I know I'm a little behind but I've been super busy with school!! Emma had a wonderful Halloween! She was the cutest little homemade pumpkin ever! haha! At least I think so since I made her outfit. She gots lots of sweets that she'll never be able to eat them all. We had family in so we visited with them and got some adorable pics. We visited a few family members and then headed to the County Park to trick or treat a few friends. We only trick or treated a few streets but that was plenty for Emma. She loved peoples decorations more than the fact they were giving candy out. She wanted to touch all the pumpkins and scary decorations. We had a great time! It was soo much fun to have some time to spend just me, Emma and my mom. She always goes with us on Halloween so it's fun for the whole family. I guess that's all I'll say about Halloween!

Where did the time go??

It's been a little while since my last post..I've been pretty sick to explain why. This sinus infection mixed with this pregnancy is killing me. I've been laying around doing absolutely nothing. Emma has been staying with my grandmother so that I can get better. I went to the dr yesterday and she gave me some antibiotics and some meds for the nausea and vomiting!! I'm excited about that because I've been nauseous everyday almost since I found out I was pregnant. It's horrible when you don't even feel like standing up to cook dinner. =( Things are looking up though. Yesterday I didn't feel near as bad and I really think the meds are working!! Or at least in my mind they are! Haha! Let's see...what else has been going on...Oh we got a new ultrasound pic that I'll share!! We're also currently ripping up our kitchen floors to put tile down so our house is a mess from that on top of everything. And...I have a midterm tonight that I'm hoping to do well on! As well as another speech that's in about a week and a half. Along with that my midterm for my online class is a mock interview and we don't even get to do it with the teacher we have to rotate with our classmates! I don't even know my classmates!! That's the whole reason I took the class online was so that I didn't have to go to the school and I submitted my work online!!! Ahh!! I guess I have no choice but to suck it up and do my best. I guess that's all I can think of right now...OH...my cousin got to come home and didn't have to go overseas because his shoulder was messed up when he was active the last time and it can't be fixed so he's not fit for combat overseas!! Sounds bad but its really kind of a blessing!! The family is really happy he's gonna be home! Anyways, that's all that comes to mind...have a great week!!

Oh What A Weekend!!

Well Friday Emma decided she wanted to go to my grandmothers and spend the night so we we're all alone. Needless to say we just laid around and watched t.v. haha! Saturday we attended a wedding for 2 of our really good friends. The wedding was beautiful as was the bride. It was very sweet but the reception was jam packed. Lots of guest and a very small fellowship hall! After we left the wedding I got a txt from my cousin's wife asking about some pictures we had taken at the pumpkin patch. I had forgotten all about them so I decided to run to wal-mart and get them developed for her. I had completely forgotten that my cousin was leaving Sunday morning to return to active duty for the army. =( It's been so hard on them as a family. He has been an inactive reserve for almost 2yrs now and then he gets called back in the blink of an eye. He had to report to Ft.Benning where he did his basic training for 30days and then he heads overseas. Please pray for his family!! He's only 24yrs old and has a daughter that will turn 3 in Nov. Yesterday was very hard for them when he had to leave. He's going to miss birthdays and Thanksgiving and Christmas and who knows what other holidays because he's not sure how long he'll be gone. Saturday was also the anniversary of my aunt's death. His mother died at the age of 42 and then not even a month later he lost his best friend in a car accident. He has been through alot in his life and could really use the prayers!!! As for us yesterday was a lazy kinda gloomy day. Just alot of thinking about what is going on with family and everything. Today I woke up and thought maybe the "morning" sickness would hold itself down a little. Well boy was I wrong! I've felt horrible all morning and done nothing but lay around on the couch until just now. I have class tonight so I'm hoping that I do start to feel better! I had it with Emma but it didn't start this early nor was it this bad! Any advice on the "morning" sickness?? Guess I'll head back to the couch now hope everyone has a great week!!!

Family & Babies!!

So our latest news...Tuesday was my first OB appt!! We have been trying to conceive for about 2 months and we are successful as of right now! I couldn't believe it at first so I thought maybe I should take another test..well it turned out to be 3! haha! We are sooo excited and Emma is too! Ok well most days she is but not always. But then again she's 2 so what can I really expect from her?! I'm sure the excitement will grow from here on as it did with our first pregnancy. The dr did an ultrasound just to check things out and make sure everything looked good for the time being. And I go back in 2 wks for another ultrasound to try to hear a heartbeat and make sure things are still good! We're hoping to not have the same issues I did with my first pregnancy! So if all goes well I should deliver at about 38-39wks so we can do my scheduled c-section! My "official" due date is June 12th but she said we would just pick a day when the time gets closer.

Let's see what else has been going on....we have had some family down from Colorado to visit for a few days! It was a great visit! We don't see them often so when they come down we try to make sure to spend at least a whole day together. Jason works so much that it gets hard to try to fit anything into a schedule. But we managed and they'll be back for another visit at the end of the month. I've been watching my niece again also...sooo much different than the first few months I watched her. lol Now she wants to sit up or stand up or anything she can. Emma loves having her around though. She loves to play with her and help feed her but I honestly think she enjoys it when she goes home. She always says she's too loud when she's trying to watch cartoons! haha!! Well I think that's about all I can think of right now...I'm sooo tired and couldn't sleep well so until next time!!

Not Much Happening!

We finally got our new air conditioner put in Friday! I was so releived too. The other one was like 19 yrs old and it never wanted to work right. So they got it in pretty quickly and we're enjoying it and hoping nothing goes wrong! We don't exactly have the best luck in the world. lol Our luck leads me to our next situation. Jason just got a new truck last week and it's already messing up! He really liked the truck and it seemed to not have any problems but now it does. Ugh!

Anyways, yesterday we took Emma & her little cousin Hannah to the park to feed the ducks. Emma loved it! She thought it was hilarious to watch them chase her for the popcorn. We took some really cute pictures of her next to the water. She wants to go feed her papaw's horses today so after nap time we'll hopefully make it over there. This next week at school will be something since I'm gonna be preparing for my first speech. I'm so nervous but hoping it will turn out good. I'm planning to do something simple so that it doesn't push the time limit. We'll see how that goes. haha! I guess there really isn't anything exciting going on for us...hope everyone has a great week!

First Post!

Let's see...not much has been going on lately! This is our first post so hopefully they will get better from here! I guess I'll just jump right in to what's been going on this week. I'm STILL in school and it seems like it may never end. I'm currently taking speech & history at the college. Ugh!! I am horrible when it comes to speaking in front of others. History isn't so bad..it's the same teacher I had in high school. I'm hoping that my prayers will be answered on the day of my speech! I'm not working right now so I'm just staying home with Emma and going to school. Jason on the other hand works ALL the time to provide for his family! He's such a great husband! I don't know what I would do without him. He did just get a new truck so he doesn't mind working a little overtime to pay for that! haha! As far as little miss Emma goes....she's a sassy little 2yr old. What else can I say?! She has an attitude that I hope will get better with time...although I'm afraid it won't. Her vocabulary has increased so much that it amazes me that she says what she does. For the longest I felt like she was behind compared to some other children we know but she seems to have developed so quickly when I really think about it. It's so strange to think she's 2! 2 yrs old now!!! Wow! It seems like I just had her! Speaking of which we are hoping for a sibling for Emma Grace very soon. Keep your fingers crossed on that one! haha! I'm sure I've bored everyone for today so hopefully I'll have some funny story or something later! Hope everyone has a great day!!
