Our last weekend as....

a family of 3! Things around here this weekend have been pretty normal...not much going on. Friday I had my last dr's appt. before delivery and Emma Grace went with me. She loves to hear his heartbeat and giggles when she hears it. It's so cute! Dr.M said that I had to be at the hospital 2 hrs before my csection is scheduled so we've worked out who will be with Emma while they are doing it so that she can be there when he is born. Immediate family will be at the hospital during the procedure and then the next day extended family and friends will be welcome. Having a csection and a tubal is going to take a lot out of me and I remember how recovery with Emma was afterwards so we're going to try to keep visitors to a minimum for a little while. Everyone seems to understand so let's hope it all goes well!

Today was really the only day we had actual plans though. We got up and got ready and headed to my 2 great aunt's house. They cooked an amazing lunch and then the kids ran around and played. After a while the heat got to us all though so we all packed up and headed home. After a trip to the grocery store we are all home for the night and ready for what's in store this week.

Please keep us in your prayers as we go in Friday! We pray that nothing goes wrong and everything as planned with an easy recovery for me! We mostly pray for a healthy baby with no complications during delivery!! Emma is getting so excited to meet her little brother and so are we. It will be difficult to adjust at first but I'm positive that we can make the transition from a family of 3 to a family of 4!! I hope everyone had a great weekend!! This will be my first time participating in Kelly's Show Us Where You Live Friday!! I have enjoyed looking through all the other rooms that people have posted about and gotten so many great ideas! There are so many great decorators out there!

As for our house, baby Tanner is scheduled to make his debut next friday so there isn't much time left for decorating his nursery! I have managed to get the basics in and get things put together. His nursery is nothing extravagant but I thought I would share anyways! Hope you enjoy!

His dresser is crammed full of cute little outfits just waiting for him to wear! :) I made the two picture frames that are on top of the dresser with an extra valance that came with the crib set. I'm hoping to put some photos of baby Tanner and his big sister in them.

Aside from Tanner's nursery we have Emma Grace's room! Her room has the cutest color on the walls- it's called dragonfruit! She got new "big girl" bedding that she picked out herself and we've tried to match the things in her room but it began to get a little difficult. Hope you enjoy! (Ignore the messiness)

Busy Busy!!

Yesterday Emma and I enjoyed a trip to Hobby lobby and Target for a day of shopping! I LOVE Hobby Lobby and can always find something that I want. We looked through all the flowers and fabrics and iron-ons. We found one to make her an adorable little shirt with for when Tanner arrives!

After spending way to much time browsing we decided to head to Target to look around. We found our way into the baby section and discovered lots of little clothes on clearance!! Yay!! I got some onesies for Tanner and found some stuff for a friend who is also having a little boy in August. Emma flirted with every little boy we came in contact with while in Target. haha!! We are def. going to have our hands full with her when she's older.

I also made a trip to the lovely Wal-Mart and found some new material they had out to make Emma some dresses. I saw the same fabric at Hobby Lobby but it was almost $15/yd and it was 1/2 that price at Wal-Mart. We made a cute little zebra print pillowcase dress also. She has the cutest bow that is zebra print but never had anything that looked right with it and now she does! :)

Today we've cleaned and cleaned! My baby shower is this saturday and the house was a total disaster. Toys were everywhere!! The joys of motherhood. haha!! I'm slowly also getting Tanner's room finished before his big arrival. He will be here in about 3wks if nothing changes and right now I'm more than ready. I have constant heartburn no matter if I eat a whole thing of tums or not. Ok I really haven't eaten a whole thing but it sure seems like it. And I just think that I'm so ready to not be pregnant anymore and have him here. Even though I know life with 2 is going to be even more hectic and sleepless than with just 1. Guess I should go start dinner! I will post some pictures of the nursery when its finished! Hope everyone has a great evening!!

In LOVE!!

I've been spending lots and lots of time over at Kelly's Korner viewing all the great design ideas from her home tours on Fridays! There are literally soo many crafty moms and women out there! I have found more than a dozen ideas that I have fallen in love with to do in my own home. Everything from decorating vases to dressers. I even found myself wondering into the Goodwill this morning just to check out what they had! I found some adorable things but I'm still unsure of what to do first!! :) I also found little Tanner a BRAND NEW pair of shoes that were name brand for $2.79!! WOW!! Ok enough rambling about falling in love with all these great ideas!
School is O-V-E-R for the semester and I'm more than happy about that! I finished all my finals and all my work and managed to come out with A's in every single class. Yay me!! lol
Friday I'll be going back to the dr for my 36wk appt!! We have scheduled my csection for June 5th so as long as nothing changes between now and then we will have little Tanner that day around noon!! Emma is so excited to be a big sister that she can't wait for him to get here either. I'm having my baby shower this saturday so we're looking forward to all our family and friends being here for some fun and food! I suppose that's enough for now...I'll try to have a better put together post later! haha!! My mommy brain isn't working well today!
